Reminder of New Tax Due Dates and Extension Periods

– by Linda Marie Pearson, CPA, CFE

Tax Time

Well over a year ago, on July 31, 2015, public law regarding certain tax filing deadlines was amended. This change affects those tax paying entities filing their tax returns for the year ending December 31, 2016 and thereafter. For C Corporations, you have another month to file the return. However, for companies filing as a partnership, you have less time: the return is due March 15th.

The following is a summary of the changes that are effective for tax years ending December 31, 2016 and thereafter.
