October 3, 2018 (Providence, RI) — Sansiveri, Kimball & Co., LLP today announced the appointment of Jason M. DaPonte to Managing Partner. He succeeds Michael DeCataldo, who will remain with the Providence-based CPA firm as Senior Tax Partner. DeCataldo, who joined Sansiveri in 1983, has been a driving force in positioning Sansiveri for long-term, sustainable success. Under DeCataldo’s leadership, the firm has grown to approximately 50 employees. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead our company through a period of growth and commitment to service excellence,” said DeCataldo. “I feel nothing but positivity for what lies ahead because I have tremendous confidence in Jason, our leadership team, and the entire firm.” With his eyes aimed towards leading Sansiveri into the future, upholding tradition and staying true to the firm’s legacy is a priority for DaPonte. “We are locally owned, controlled, and managed — which not only differentiates us, but results in continuity and consistency that our clients appreciate,” he stated. DaPonte, 38 years old, joins a small group of individuals who have made it to the top of a mid- to large-sized CPA firm based in Rhode Island before the age of 40. He joined Sansiveri in 2008 and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a certified Construction Industry Technician (CIT), and a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). Admitted a partner of the firm in 2016, DaPonte has led Sansiveri’s construction and related services specialty group for the past six years. As Sansiveri’s fourth managing partner in its 43-year history, DaPonte will oversee day-to-day operations and guide the firm’s overall strategy, innovation, growth, and culture. “We will continue our focus on looking for new and innovative ways to enhance the client experience,” said DaPonte, who holds a B.S. in Business Marketing and M.S. in Accountancy from Providence College and the University of Rhode Island, respectively. DaPonte, a Hope Valley resident who serves on the board of numerous organizations throughout Rhode Island, added, “I’m committed to strengthening our culture and continuing our track record of being one of the best places to work.” Sansiveri has repeatedly earned local and national distinctions for quality of workplace, innovation, and values.
