After taking a bookkeeping class in high school, Laura, who has always been a proactive planner, set her sights on becoming a CPA in her sophomore year. She attributes her success to not being afraid to take on the challenges that others didn’t and having the ambition to expand her knowledge outside of the typical workday. Described as “loyal and dedicated”, Laura believes in the value of being a resource to clients and colleagues, as well as treating others with respect. Her favorite quote, “It’s not the breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away,” which reminds her to enjoy life, not just get through the days.
Laura resides in Swansea with her husband, Jamie, and their three sons, Michael, Christopher, and Steven. She is an avid reader who has an ambitious annual goal of finishing 100 books in a year. When she’s not working or reading, Laura enjoys crafts, including knitting/crocheting, photography, and needlework.
The key to Neil's professional success is his strong work ethic, which he credits to his parents. His coworkers and clients respect him for his dedication to excellence and his even-keeled demeanor. Neil's favorite quote, ``Be better than you are. Set a goal that seems unattainable, and when you reach that goal, set another one even higher,`` by Herb Brooks, reflects his ambitious and determined nature.
Neil has a range of interests and pastimes outside of work. He is an avid fan of the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox. He likes mountain biking, fishing, and golfing in down own time. Neil's passion for exploration extends to his favorite vacation spots, Vermont and New Hampshire.
Neil resides in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He enjoys the diverse food scene in Providence and frequently invites clients and coworkers to try out different places in the area.
Before joining the firm, Jerico gained valuable experience as an Associate Audit Manager at one of the leading professional services firms in the Philippines. In this role, he provided comprehensive audit services to a wide range of businesses. With nearly 5 years of audit experience under his belt, Jerico possesses the expertise and knowledge necessary to excel in the field.
Jerico is a results-driven individual who places a high value on continuous improvement. His dependable and positive mindset makes him an asset to the firm and the clients he works with. His passion for accounting was ignited during high school, and it continues to drive his professional journey.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jerico can solve a Rubik's Cube in less than a minute, showcasing his aptitude for problem-solving. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching anime and cherishes quality moments spent with family and friends.
Derek resides in Scituate with his wife, Nesrene, their two children, Samira and Easton, two dogs, two cats, and seven chickens! His hobbies include working out, golfing, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending time with his family. Derek's favorite sports team is the New England Patriots, and his favorite travel destination is Costa Rica, where he honeymooned and had an amazing experience.
Christina earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting (2002) and Master of Science in Accounting (2004) from the University of Rhode Island. She received the Janice Paff Award for Outstanding Woman Graduate in 2002. Her 20 years of experience includes managing the peer reviews at different firms, maintaining the firm quality control documents, reviewing financial statements, and preparing and reviewing various tax returns including partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts.
Christina is an active member of the AICPA and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs (RISCPA), where she also serves on the RISCPA Tax Committee. Her areas of specialization include Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, and Non-Profit sectors. Outside of her professional life, Christina enjoys soccer, softball, hiking, and beach activities. She is a mother to three sons and two fur babies.
