That man was Jerry Sansiveri. His name and legacy lives on through our commitment to support the livelihood and vitality of the businesses and organizations who are defining the future.

Sansiveri is a member of Allinial Global, a member-based association dedicated to the success of independent accounting and consulting firms. Founded in 1969, this strategic affiliation of legally independent accounting firms has a mission to foster the independence, growth and continuous improvement of its members. Allinial Global is based in North America but offers international support by connecting its member firms to providers and global networks of accounting firms worldwide.

 

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
100% of Sansiveri Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are members of the AICPA which represents the CPA profession nationally with regards to rule-making and standard-setting. It serves as an advocate before legislative bodies, public interest groups, and other professional organizations. The AICPA develops standards for audits of private companies and other services by CPAs; provides educational guidance materials to its members; develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination; and monitors and enforces compliance with the profession’s technical and ethical standards.

 

Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA)
Sansiveri is a 100% Firm Participant of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA). Our professionals are members of this professional membership association that exclusively supports CPAs, providing leadership and resources to its members.

 

Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA)
Sansiveri has professionals who maintain a CPA license in the state of Massachusetts. They are members of the MSCPA, which is that state’s premier professional organization for accountants. They offer a wide array of legislative, technical and referral services to their members.

 

Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA)
The CSCPA provides continuing education opportunities, a comprehensive practice peer review program, a variety of membership services for CPAs in Connecticut, and clear, strong, and forward-looking leadership for the profession.

 

Financial Planning Association (FPA®)
A number of Sansiveri’s financial planning professionals employed through its affiliated company (SK Wealth Management, LLC) are members of the FPA®, which is the largest membership organization for personal financial planning experts in the U.S. They help connect thousands of consumers to competent and ethical planners who uphold the FPA Standard of Care.

 

Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island (FPARI)
Several of our financial planners are also members of the FPARI, a non-profit corporation organized under the state of Rhode Island. The organization exists to further the success of the financial planning profession, and seeks to foster the value of financial planning through meetings, educational presentations, and special events.

 

National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA)
Sansiveri’s certified valuation professionals are members of the NACVA, which supports the users of business asset valuation services and financial forensic services.

 

Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA)
Valuation professionals at SK&Co are members of the IBA, the oldest professional society devoted solely to the appraisal of closely-held businesses. The Institute is a pioneer in business appraisal education and professional accreditation, and provides mentoring, report review, instruction, and technical publications for the enhancement of the profession.

 

National CPA Health Care Advisors Association (HCAA)
Sansiveri is a member of HCAA, a nationwide network of CPA firms devoted to serving the healthcare industry through networking opportunities, marketing support and educational programs. Members are selected for their experience and ability to provide proactive solutions to the accounting needs of physicians and physician groups.

For the seventh consecutive year, Sansiveri was named as one of the “2018 Best Accounting Firms to Work for”. The annual list of the Best Accounting Firms to Work for was created by Accounting Today (a national publication) and Best Companies Group. This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the accounting industry, benefiting the industry’s economy, workforce and businesses. The list is made up of 100 companies throughout the United States.
2017 Best Accounting Firms for Women
Sansiveri was named as one of the 2017 Best Accounting Firms for Women. Accounting Today, a trade magazine servicing the public accounting profession in the United States,  introduced its first-ever list of the 2017 Best Firms for Women. Based on Accounting Today’s Best Firms to Work For list, the new ranking highlights those firms that: have at least 25 women in the organization, or representing 25 percent of staff, whichever is higher; and have female response rates to the
2018 When Work Works Award
This prestigious award, part of the national When Work Works project administered by the Families and Work Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management, recognizes employers of all sizes and types in the New England Region and across the country. As a recipient of the 2017 When Work Works award, employers must complete a rigorous two-step selection process involving evaluation of their flexibility programs and practices, and a confidential employee survey. This marks the eighth time that Sansiveri has won this award. 
2017/18 Internship Excellence Award
Sansiveri was named one of three 2017/18 Internship Excellence Award recipients at the Bryant University Employer Appreciation Reception held May 31, 2018.  According to Bryant, approximately 400 companies, representing a broad spectrum of industries and professional firms, take part in their recruiting and internship programs each year. We were  recognized for internship excellence in the small business category. In total, there were five finalists in addition to the 3 overall winners.
The Charles E. Maynard Society Recognition
Sansiveri was recognized by The Charles E. Maynard Society (Society) for our involvement with The Providence Center.  The Providence Center helps adolescents and children affected by psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems, and addictions by providing treatment and supportive services within a community setting.
